A high tax nation came with the Great Society and the Civil rights and Voting Acts. Along with the federal government, the states, cities, regions, etc. saw massive increases. We were still a rising nation and the people complained then. The pain continued when we reached the peak and then started our downhill slide in the early 1970's. The world retooled and rebuilt from WW 2 surpassed us in some industries and manufacturing. Government grew. Now we are talkers and not walkers. During Covid we had people working from home getting paid with benefits. And most were not working. We may still have some people doing it.

But today, punk ass sellout Thomas, who stands on the same bodies who fought and died so his black ass could sit in that chair, is killing the chance for young blacks to live better lives.

Whites don't get to define what we see as success, and whites don't get to tell us what we should be proud of. Thomas had the chance to be one of the greatest Black Americans in the history of this country.
