Racism is the assignment of traits to persons dependent on ethnic characteristics. Saying Blacks are evolutionary throwbacks, Jews are little different than the Ferenghi from Star Trek, or Chinese are duplicitous because of ethnicity are all Racist. It doesn't matter what the race of the person speaking or the target of the accusation. What the Japanese did in SE Asia is still Racist (Because of the Japanese motivation) even though the Japanese were Asian. Mass murder because you believe you are getting rid of an inferior race is still racism. Judge Sotermeyer's comments are still raceist, even if she is latin. You trade the comments from latin to white, it is the kind of comment that would get a white politician in deep trouble. For good reason.

When Jackson and Sharpton organize boycotts of Jewish businesses because they are Jewish, that is racism pure and simple. The fact that Blacks are on the receiving end of this kind of thing does not excuse them from doing it.

Racism is make bad assumptions from irrelevant facts and doing evil things based on a 'higher' morality from a supposedly higher racial plane.

And the racism on display from Alito and Sotermeyer is not the somewhat honorable intention of "pick up the white man's burden" and make the world a better place by bringing civilization, education, and enligtenment around the world, but the really dark kind practiced by Germany, that lower races aren't really human, and can be robbed with impunity.
