Militias have absolutely nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. Literally nothing. Zip. Zero.

The “militia” was the Prefatory Clause. It’s the why. An explanation for the Operative Clause - which is the what (ie “the right to bear arms shall not be infringed”).

Don’t wrongfully proclaim that “forming militias” is the “first part” of the 2nd Amendment. All it does is confirm misinformation for the anti-2nd Amendment left looking to ban firearms.
