This is the first time I have seen Buckley, the man is a genius.

Yes, the student body voted for Baldwin, which was pure posturing.

This was not a debate on the topic. Baldwin used his time to list a whole bunch of complaints. Hence Buckley answered those complaints brilliantly.

What is noticeable is that Baldwin was less of a man then Buckley, refusing to clap at the end for Buckley's speech. That was an act of a man with of low class.

Buckley pointing out that Negros are becoming doctors and millionaires, proved the American Dream is provided for everyone and that it is the Negro that was failing to take that opportunity.

And how right was Buckley in pointing out that the simply giving the Negro the right to vote was not going to override the vote of 65% of the Southern White Men and Women.

The title of the debate had the word "negro" in it. I stopped watching right there. That's what we were taught to do in school, right?

You provide a great example how the censorship and control of words by democrats deny you a deeper understanding of race and our history.

Since other whites owned slavs and the American governments made slavery legal here stop repeating race baited nonsense and understand the reparations are asked for from the government. So if whites in America were enslaved by foreign governments, take your case to that government instead of post such dumb --- drivel.

WRONG!! Slavery was made legal in the COLONIAL period. That was BEFORE US Independence. It CONTINUED up until the 1860s and was made ILLEGAL after that. You would have a better case against the Governments that CAPTURED and SOLD slaves as a cash crop.
