I consider the love of alcohol, especially beer, a Germanic influence, the influence of the original Germans.
Oriental peoples generally cannot stand alcohol, they fall into madness from it and do not receive any pleasure. Finns and northern Europeans are predisposed to alcohol, they drink it like Coca-Cola.
This also has biochemical reasons - they have a lot of alcohol dehydrogenase in their liver, which digests alcohol well.
Actually, the original Russians are Germans-Balts by origin. These are the Baltic tribes, which were owned by the German people Rus.
The modern Russian Federation is not Russian in this sense, it is only the extreme northwest, adjacent to Belarus and Lithuania.
