This was a lone shooter. Because of the first and 2nd amendment, there really is nothing you can do about this. You can't stop this from happening again. There is no "they" to go after.

This is just like every other shooting. Don't you feel helpless? You feel like you want to do something. You feel like something must be done. But ultimately, there is NOTHING you can do about this. Especially when you deny you and your orange leader are a big part of this problem.

A death penalty does not seem in order if you ask me. This was a signal of war against the whole Republican Party.

But you got to wonder; grief sticks to the family and close friends of Kirk for the rest of their lives (or for nearly all of them), but the rest of the Republicans have surely started in-depth investigations as to who is behind this; and they will deliver heavier strikes back.

I watch a lot of shows where they interview the criminal or show how they act in prison. I would never let out many who get out. I'd kill them too.
