I have never stated that left leaders are truthful. What I have stated is that all politicians lie, either for their own benefit or for the benefit of accomplishing something for the communities or nation they lead. That is an integral part of politics.

Having said that, all extremes are bad and especially when you are hurting other "innocent" people and knowingly and devilishly doing it.

The Democratic party platform is all about helping those that need assistance and help. It does require the Rich to give more so the poor can survive and live better lives. Does every Democrat follow that platform? "No", given that humans are human and greed exists everywhere. Nonetheless, there is a good number of Democrats that are caring people (givers not takers) and as such, more often than not, the party platform will accomplish what it has set out to do.

The Republican platform believes that the individual comes first. That they should be given every chance to accomplish their goals and that sharing that with others is wrong. That is not necessarily a bad thing but it helps the individual and not the group.

As I stated, all extremes are bad and the extreme right causes more harm to more Americans than the extreme left. None of the extremes should be in charge but right now, the extreme right is in charge and that is cause "tangible" and long lasting harm.
