I'm saying they changed their minds after they had decided they weren't going to fact check Biden anymore. Didn't look good for them and they figured that out.

I advocate for all ballots to be hand counted anyway though. In New Mexico we fill out our paper ballot but it is fed into an electronic machine to be tabulated and counted. We have absolutely no way to know if that machine actually counted our vote or counted it in the way we voted. The rules for challenging an election here are so restrictive it is very hard to do, and even if you are able to do it, you have to personally pay for a recount.

I would like for all electronic devices that can in any way be manipulated be removed from the system.

We need both. We don't trust ANTIFA DEM BLM to count votes at night in secret. Hand counted or not. In fact I trust machines more. But then they re-run stacks across machines to double count.

Hand count first.....then run a machine count after in another room, different workers.

The counts better reconcile w/I 0.1%

You need clean voter rolls and a way for mail in to be valid. Drop off mail in at courthouse? One hand one ballot? Defeats the purpose of mail in? Sigh.

Yup. They ran a campaign in 2020 attacking Trump for not taking any responsibility for anything and then spent the next four years never taking any responsibility for anything, even as Biden had an approval rating less than 40% most of the time and only 25% of Americans thinking the country was going in the right direction. But, none of that was their fault, even after four years. Even when asked, Kamala Harris couldn't think of anything she would have done differently than Biden. They wanted Americans to vote for another four years of a potato head mixed with word salads.

Don’t see why anybody would need me to admit the obvious. Biden obviously won in 2020 and Trump obviously won in 2024. Those claiming a steal in either election aren’t to be taken seriously at this point.

Yes, hand counting should be under the scrutiny of competent representatives/poll watchers chosen by each interested party. And ballots should be counted at the location where they are cast and counted ONLY in the presence of those poll watchers. And those poll watchers should be given a certified copy of the final tally when the counting is completed and before the ballots are moved to another location for storage. The poll watchers should also provide certification that in their opinion the count is accurate. People already in line to vote should be able to vote after the polls close but otherwise no new ballots should be allowe once the polls close.

Once the hand counting is complete I agree the ballots can be fed into an electronic machine for a quick check of the tally. If the machine and hand counters disagree though, then a recount should be done immediately.

Voters should have to provide positive ID to request an absentee ballot and absentee ballot should have the notarized signature of the voter on them. If you want a secret ballot, vote in person.

Everything possible should be done to assure all Americans that the vote is fair, honest and accurate and restore faith and trust in the system.
