Good call.
Thank you.
it's 'earth-shattering' because giving back citizens their own money happens so rarely....
of course politicians hate it...controlling citizen money is the source of their power.....that's why the Demonrats are totally ignoring Scott Walker....
Did you hear what Borillar said?
Did Rush get all sweaty over Oregon's kicker checks? Huh? Did he? Did he call the return of money to Oregon taxpayers "Earth-shattering" news that was being ignored by the media or did he...ignore that news?
Oregon is a blue state, so I am going to guess...he ignored it. He didn't say a word about it.
And that tells you everything you need to know about Rush Limbaugh's hypocrisy and his "earth-shattering" bullshit.
you libs can sure make much ado about nothing...but even in your efforts to play down Walker's success you are helping to make the case for fiscally sound Republican efforts...because Oregon was led by a REPUBLICAN Governor when Oregon adopted the 'kicker' law in the first place...
what you don't realize is Oregon's 'kicker law' has been around since 1980....after a REPUBLICAN Governor who took office in January 1979....Governor Victor Atiyeh....(1979-1987)....the law was originally inspired by the Calif. Prop 13 to cut taxes.....and probably Jimmah Cawtah's inflationary times...
during the 90s and 2000s there have been 'kicker checks' only 5 times.....in 2007 the median kicker was $113....and 20% of the rebates went to the top 1%....
opponents of Oregon's 'kicker law' include Democrat Governor Ted Kulongoski (2003-2011)....followed by the current Democrat Governor John Kitzhaber....
this Oregon law is already being eroded by the Democrats....
In 2012, Oregon voters passed Ballot Measure 85, which reformed the corporate kicker so that if any rebate was due, the funds would be returned to the general fund and specifically allocated to augment public school funding.
