1.Never underestimate how clever the evil party is. Election after election, they get the inattentive voter to focus on the candidates rather than what policies each brings with him.

This was a post from a seemingly sentient voter before the last election

"Me: I can list dozens of Biden policies that are anti-American, and that I can attack.

Biden voter: “This isn't about policies.
Trump and his cult are attacking the fundamental premise of the republic and the sovereign will of the people. It's a disgrace.”

How’d that work out?

2. The point is, it was never about Trump......or Nixon.

Liberals should have loved Richard Nixon.

The Nixon administration gives stark acknowledgement that 'Republican" is not the same as 'conservative.' Nixon, rather than adhering to 'limited government,' presided over a regulatory revolution from '70 to '74 that included OSHA, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the EPA, the United States Environmental Protection Agency

"The Supreme Court's decision in Griggs v Duke Power in 1971, followed by congressional legislation in 1972 gave the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) expanded authority to oversee employers employment practices. Combined, OSHA, the EPA, and the EEOC affected virtually every workplace. It was also during the Nixon years that the slope of federal spending on social and economic programs turned sharply upward."
Charles Murray, "By The People," p.6.

A ‘big government Republican….a RINO.
And Richard Nixon was far, far more the civil rights warrior than the Democrat Party.

3. The Nixon election was about the same thing that Democrat’s agenda is always about: advancing global communism.
Nixon stymied the advance of the international agenda, the one Biden is working for:

"130 countries back deal on global minimum tax for companies"
https://apnews.com › article › joe-biden-government-an...

... agreed on a global minimum tax backed by President Joe Biden as ... out and it would be at least 2023 before the agreement takes effect.

And that’s how they successfully used Watergate to erase the election that they lost and prevent North Vietnam's defeat.

Proven in this thread.

Here’s a hint: “Linebacker.”

I always got a C+ in Grammar, next question.

Let’s see….

We have been in Afghanistan for 20 years and they are still incapable of holding back the Taliban.

Maybe if we stay 5 more years they will.
Or maybe 10 more, 20 more, 50 more

At a certain point it is not our problem
We never should have invaded in the first place

Perhaps Nixon's greatest problem vis-s-vis the Democrats, is that he was anti-communist.

4. “On Good Friday, 30 March 1972, three North Vietnamese divisions crossed the demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from the Republic of Vietnam and invaded the northernmost provinces of the latter. Before the Easter weekend was over, twelve of Hanoi’s thirteen regular combat divisions were carrying out military operations in South Vietnam. The 120,000-soldier force was equipped with more than 200 T-34, T-54, and PT-76 tanks as well as mobile radar-controlled antiaircraft weapons and portable surface-to-air missiles.

The North Vietnamese invasion, timed to exploit the adverse weather during the transition from the northeast to southwest monsoon and initiated to enable Hanoi to strengthen its political hand in the Paris peace talks, prompted the second major bombing campaign over North Vietnam by the United States. Named Linebacker I and II, these operations would have a major effect on thwarting North Vietnamese politico-military efforts before they were concluded nine months later.”
Linebacker and the Law of War

5. “Nixon’s commitment to the Linebacker Campaign forced North Vietnamese to the table in Paris in January of 1973. On April 20th, he and Thieu met at San Clemente, where Nixon confirmed his absolute determination to resume the Linebacker bombing campaign if the North Vietnamese broke any of the agreements under the Paris Accords. If the purpose of our intervention in Southeast Asia was to prevent a Soviet proxy from taking over South Vietnam, then the war was won.”

David Stone, in his novel “Venetian Judgment.”

"... then the war was won.”

And the Democrat Party couldn’t allow this victory to stand.

6. The number one thing standing between Global Communism’s victory in Vietnam, was Nixon.

The Democrats had to find a weapon to use against him….and to allow a communist victory.

“In February 1971 the Secret Service, at President Nixon's instructions, installed a secret taping system in the White House. The system was sound-activated, which operated automatically, and was tied to the Secret Service's presidential locator system. When President Nixon entered a recording area, the beeper he carried signaled the recorder to switch to a record/pause mode. The tape machines began recording whenever microphones picked up any sound.”

The fact that tapes could prove that the President of the United States conspired to spy on his opponents was blown into an attack on the US victory in Vietnam.

Democrats beat their chests and claimed that spying on the other party was unheard of, and the most thing in our history……

Democrats lie about everything.

Vietnam was a mistake
We never should have gotten involved in a Civil War.
Our fear of Vietnam under Communist control leading to millions of deaths was unfounded. What did happen is our involvement led to millions of unnecessary deaths.

Afghanistan has been a shithole for centuries. We went in there to rout Al Qaeda. Twenty years later, they are still not stable. The Taliban live there. No matter what we do, they will be waiting in the wings to gain control

Not our problem any more

7. Terrible, terrible Nixon…..he was a part of the plan to spy on the other party!!!!!!!!
Or....so we've been told by the Democrats.

If spying on his opponent need result in the jettisoning of a President….why didn’t this apply to the Democrat Risen Yahweh???

"....Evelyn Farkas was essentially part of a disinformation campaign with Obama insiders spreading a fake DNC constructed story using false information. However, in addition to pushing the false Trump Russian conspiracy narrative, Farkas has knowledge of the outcome of the original pushing of the narrative leading to actual surveillance of the Trump team.

This bolsters the information already presented by Devin Nunes that an entirely separate network of surveillance, unrelated to the Russian conspiracy story, was directly targeting the candidacy of Trump and the post-election surveillance of the President Elect Trump-transition team."
UPDATE: President Obama’s Own Defense Deputy Admits Obama White House Spied on Candidate/President-Elect Trump…

“FBI Officials Admit They Spied On Trump Campaign
The New York Times‘ story, headlined “Code Name Crossfire Hurricane: The Secret Origins of the Trump Investigation,” is a dry and gentle account of the FBI’s launch of extensive surveillance of affiliates of the Trump campaign.

This is a stunning admission for those Americans worried that federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies might use their powers to surveil, leak against, and target Americans simply for their political views or affiliations.

…the FBI was worried that if it came out they were spying on Trump campaign it would “only reinforce his claims that the election was being rigged against him.”

Difference between Watergate and the Obama Spying?
Watergate was a failed attempt by a political party to spy on their political enemies.

So it really wasn’t spying on the other party that was the problem……it was that Nixon stood in the way of a communist victory.

8. Watergate wasn’t the reason that Nixon had to go…..this was: On April 20th, he and Thieu met at San Clemente, where Nixon confirmed his absolute determination to resume the Linebacker bombing campaign if the North Vietnamese broke any of the agreements under the Paris Accords.

Always keep you eyes on the guiding principle behind Democrat politics: advance communist domination in all parts of the world, and in this case, it was Vietnam.

In April of 1973, rumors about the secret taping system in the White House began to circulate. In May, overflight surveillance showed Russians shipping arms and material to the North Vietnamese.

Their Democrat partners wasted no time in using Watergate as a way to drain all of Nixon’s political capital. The intense pressure on Nixon caused his loss of Republican support as well, and he had to sign this amendment:

The Case–Church Amendment was legislation attached to a bill funding the U.S. State Department. it was approved by the U.S. Congress in June 1973 that prohibited further U.S. military activity in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia unless the president secured Congressional approval in advance.

Other short titles: Case–Church Amendment of ...

Enacted by: the 93rd United States Congress

Effective: July 1, 1973

Damn
Talking about wild conspiracy theories

9. The Democrat control of the media made it impossible for Nixon to survive. It didn’t matter that Nixon wasn’t President…..here’s what the result was, and this mattered:

Saigon fell in April of ’75.

None of that would have occurred had Congress backed Nixon’s Linebacker policy, and his threat to continue bombing if the communist continued to attack, and broke the agreement.

After their prime directive, advancing global communism, second to that of imposing death, serfdom, and slavery.

Always keep you eyes on the guiding principle behind Democrat politics: advance communist domination in all parts of the world, and this comes to mind:

Didnt work

Threats of more bombs was not going to do anything

There is a reason why the Democrats are known as the Party of Death.

10.The weakness of Nixon due to the Watergate scandal allowed the Left-Wing Democrats to destroy any hope of either the United States living up to its commitments in South Vietnam, or of even allowing the aid that would have allowed the South to defend itself. Starting with the 1974 budget, they refused to allocate another penny, and forbade US military action “in or over” Indochina. Thus, no airstrikes if the North violated the peace treaty. They wanted the North to win….and they did.

When the Pentagon’s accountants tried to use a couple of hundred million dollars of unused appropriations left over from 1972 and 1973 to aid the South, Ted Kennedy organized Senators, 43-38, to forbid the expenditure.
David Frum, “How We Got Here,” p. 305.

In the scholarly “The Black Book of Communism,” Stephane Courtois, et. al. calculate (p. 572) that the Communists immediately shipped between 200,000 and a million to ‘reeducation camps’ out of a population of 20 million. Execution numbered about 65,000 not counting those who died slowly in the camps.

The new Communist Vietnam caused hundreds of thousands of ordinary people to flee their homes, with over 800,000 taking to the high seas in tiny boats.
Commentary magazine, “Who Won Vietnam?”, May 1994.

We will witness much of the same conflagration in Afghanistan due to Biden and the Democrats.

11. Always keep you eyes on the guiding principle behind Democrat politics: always work to strengthen America’s enemies in all parts of the world, and this comes to mind:

Obama did it blatantly in Iraq.....he removed any restrictions on ISIS....

"Obama's 2012 Debate Boast: I Didn't Want to Leave Any Troops in Iraq
Obama then denied that he ever supported a status of forces agreement that would have left troops in Iraq:

MR. ROMNEY: [W]ith regards to Iraq, you and I agreed, I believe, that there should have been a status of forces agreement. Did you —

PRESIDENT OBAMA: That's not true.

MR. ROMNEY: Oh, you didn't — you didn't want a status of forces agreement?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: No, but what I — what I would not have done is left 10,000 troops in Iraq that would tie us down. That certainly would not help us in the Middle East.

"Here's one thing I've learned as commander in chief," Obama said at the end of the exchange. "You've got to be clear, both to our allies and our enemies, about where you stand and what you mean."
Obama s 2012 Debate Boast I Didn t Want to Leave Any Troops in Iraq The Weekly Standard

And this:
"This month, Colin Kahl, the senior Pentagon official in charge of Iraq policy at the time, explained why the White House insisted on Iraq’s parliament approving the changes to the SOFA.

He wrote in Politico Magazine that in 2011 Iraq’s prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, “told U.S. negotiators that he was willing to sign an executive memorandum of understanding that included these legal protections.

Yet this time around, Obama is willing to accept an agreement from Iraq’s foreign ministry
on U.S. forces in Iraq without a vote of Iraq’s parliament. “We believe we need a separate set of assurances from the Iraqis,” one senior U.S. defense official told The Daily Beast on Sunday. This official said this would likely be an agreement or exchange of diplomatic notes from the Iraq’s foreign ministry. “We basically need a piece of paper from them,” another U.S. official involved in the negotiations told The Daily Beast. The official didn’t explain why the parliamentary vote, so crucial three years ago, was no longer needed.”

Obama rejected it.

And Biden took a page from Obama's playbook:

Timeline of the Joe Biden presidency (2021 Q2) - Wikipedia
Timeline of the Joe Biden presidency (2021 Q2) - Wikipedia

President Biden formally announces the full withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021,

Selecting the September 11 date by Biden was blatantly congratulatory to our enemies…

12. In this thread we find an inordinate affection by the Democrats/Liberals/Progressives for Communism…. the collective, command and control regulation of private industry, and overarching government that can order every aspect of the private citizen's life....right down to control of his thoughts and speech.

Yet they pass themselves off as ‘bleeding hearts’ with a love of their fellow human beings.

In reality….which is more important to Democrats……communism ascendant, or human lives?

The subject of Vietnam gives a peek into the truth:

In 1979, Humanitas, the organization of anti-war activist Joan Baez, purchased a newspaper ad that ran in five large circulation dailies, called “An Open Letter to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,” which ran in part: “Thousands of innocent Vietnamese, many of whose only “crimes” are those of conscience, are being arrested, detained and tortured in prison and re-education camps… The jails are overflowing with thousands upon thousands of “detainees”… People disappear and never return… People are used as human mine detectors, clearing live mine fields with their hands and feet. For many, life is hell and death is prayed for. With tragic irony, the cruelty, violence and oppression practiced by foreign powers in your country for more than a century continue today under the present regime.

It was an abiding commitment to fundamental principles of human dignity, freedom and self-determination that motivated so many Americans to oppose the government of South Vietnam and our country's participation in the war. It is that same commitment that compels us to speak out against your brutal disregard of human rights. As in the 60s, we raise our voices now so that your people may live."
http://www.american-buddha.com/lit.voicesingwith6.1.htm

Baez mailed the letter to 350 anti-war activists. Among those who refused to sign was Jane Fonda. “Your name would mean much more than any other,” she told Fonda, in a long letter.

Fonda wrote that the ad would lend credence to those who believe “that Communism is worse than death…” Washington Post, Lynn Darling, “Joan Baez at 38,” June 29, 1979

Democrat Party…..the Party of Death.

"QUESTION: Mr. President, some Vietnamese veterans see echoes of their experience in this withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling —

THE PRESIDENT: None whatsoever. Zero. What you had is — you had entire brigades breaking through the gates of our embassy — six, if I’m not mistaken. The Taliban is not the South, the North Vietnamese army. They’re not, they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy in the, of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable . . .

* * *

What a bunch of malarkey is that exchange at the President’s press conference yesterday. Mr. Biden lectured the press on how wrong were Vietnam veterans — that’s what we think the questioner meant by “Vietnamese” veterans — to spy parallels between the betrayal of those who rallied to our common cause in Afghanistan and in Vietnam. “None whatsoever . . . zero . . . not at all comparable”?

Whom does Mr. Biden think he’s kidding? The fact is that Afghanistan is rife with parallels to our abandonment of Vietnam in the middle of the fight."

Joe Biden......Santayana's calling.......

"In the vice presidential debate, the daughty Republican nominee, Governor Sarah Palin, nailed Mr. Biden on his war policy. “Your plan is a white flag of surrender,” she said.* In the event in Iraq, the Obama-Biden administration did, just like the Democrats in Vietnam, force a premature retreat. It will be on Mr. Biden’s watch that the final ignominy of our retreat from Afghanistan will take place."
The Sun, Op. Cit.

One can surmise that the Islamist President before Quid Pro Joe pulled the strings on this one, turning Afghanistan over to his co-religionists.

Mr. President, some Vietnamese veterans see echoes of their experience in this withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling —
Very close
We never should have been in Vietnam and we should have left Afghanistan 15 years ago

Apologize to the soldiers for risking their lives unnecessarily
