Just did a random sampling of 25 threads in the Political Forum.
My goal was to try to determine who was responsible for the degradation of political discourse on this site. In other words, which side resorted to personal attacks first, and by doing so, steered the conversation away from the subject..
My findings:
Threads sampled: 25
No. threads where personal attack was initiated by the Left: 19
No. threads where personal attack was initiated by the Right: 6
No. threads where profanity/vulgarity was first used by Left: 21
No. threads where profanity/vulgarity was first used by the Right: 4
