BTW, the real context of his rant was that the truly wealthy will be able to avoid any tax increase from the scheduled Bush tax increases because "the tax code is not multiple thousands of pages for no reason," a theme he has hit on many times before. Reread his title for the rant again.

the economy is a facility of society. a capitalist economy at once promotes health and prosperity in society while feeding off of this health and prosperity. this is why regulation/legislation and tax/expenditure done right empowers corporations.

the bottom line is that perceiving corporations as the kings of economic prosperity is plain stupidity. these corporations, like my own, owe their economic prosperity to their customers.

this is nonesense. the only prerequisite to capitalism is private ownership of the means of production. free markets as defined today are a fallacy in my view, anyhow.

the US is capitalistic up to the rate of tax burden, because of the implication tax has to ownership of the means whereby revenue is obtained. that's the way i'd try to put a % on the matter, at least.
