The crossing of "red lines"......

There were countless negative comments when Obama stated to Syria's Assad that were chemical weapons used, Assad would be crossing a "red line".....and when Obama asked Congress for authority to punish the Syrian president and Congress refused to act, Obama was criticized.

Now, Trump ALSO stated to special counsel, Mueller, that Mueller would cross a red line if he started looking at Trump family finances going beyond any Russia connection........and Mueller has obviously ignored Trump's warning.

In this latter case, should Trump be also criticized for drawing "a red line" that is easily ignored???
But Trump is a Republican and Obama a Democrat – to the blind partisan right that makes all the difference.
