I’m not even sure what that is supposed to mean.Err, maybe to you. We saw it fine. And we still do. The economists were talking shit, but they were only fooling the people that wanted to be fooled.
I dismiss people who are defending a policy that did not do what they said, and who have not adapted their words or ideas to the reality of that failure
So....yeah.
Then you are wrong. Free Trade raised the standard of living in every country on earth. Establishing it and maintaining it. It benefited us by raising middle America’s buying power with products that are cheaper in real dollars than they were 30 years ago.
They didn’t stop going to Wal Mart when they abandoned buy American."do without"? LOL. You realize that you are arguing FOR cheap shit made with cheap labor, without safety or environmental protections, as a way of life, as policy that you WANT.
yeah, I think people will be on my side on this.
As for “cheap shit made with cheap labor, without safety or environmental protections”, why would that happen? We still regulate our own markets, and we already have regulations that encourage safety and environmental protections.
If we are "******* up" and it will ONLY raise prices for US, with no other effect, then why are our trading partners so upset?
Because upsetting the entire balance in global trade is destabilizing. Chaos. Trump’s favorite thing.
