It was a JOKE , you dingbat.
It was one of your presidents that created limits on political speech, but now you pretend you always had it
If the founders saw the Johnson Amendment they would roll in their graves.

That the corrupt legal system has not stricken it down is a troubling commentary on the nation.

Not everyone perished. Obviously humanity started again, or else we wouldn't be here right now.

But I told you a couple times already on this thread that I didn't post this thread for debating. Especially with someone who doesn't post in good faith. That's why I almost never post to you. This is going to be the last time I ask you to not try your usual schtick on this thread. There are thousands of other threads for debating. Thanks.
Forgive him. He knows not what he does.

What's also interesting is that just about every ancient culture tells a similar story about a global flood,
Not everyone perished. Obviously humanity started again, or else we wouldn't be here right now.

only from the origin of the event as described by the desert bibles would have recollection of the event ...

that is true ... the non desert dwellers followers of jesus the 1st century events believe all good people those less than a majority evil would not have perished and obviously had nothing to do w/ moses family for that purpose and recollection would be the extent covered by the event.

really ...

The Johnson Amendment, passed in 1954 and championed by then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson, is a provision in the U.S. tax code prohibiting 501(c)(3) organizations—including charities and churches—from endorsing or opposing political candidates. It maintains the nonpartisan status of these groups, and in 2025/2026, it remains a subject of intense legal and political debate.

the amendment / commandment endorses those that wrote the u s constitution, founding (fathers) or not - separation of church and state.

or prohibit the churches decision who may be their leaders and leave that as a public election regardless their bibles of forgeries lies and fallacies.

I already told you that the interpretation was corrupt and unconstitutional.

Posting about that corruption does not prove to me it isn't.

The first amendment makes any regulation or taxation of churches unconstitutional. The power to tax, is the power to destroy.

Religion was protected, as it is the conscious of the nation and our leaders. That you are too obtuse to understand this is not much of a surprise.

in your dream world religion as equating corrupt bibles themselves being constitutional and lawful as nothing more than autocratic despotism, 17th century europe and why the 1st amendment is written the way it is as a secular document for everyone to prosper - not just apartheid loving sinners.

- nothing about not paying taxes for the public welfare of all citizens ...

well john lost the argument ...

Sixteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

people concerned for the well being of america have prevailed.

Any taxation of churches, on whatever ground, is unAmerican and unconstitutional.

only to desert dwellers who have no regard for anyone else than themselves and their apartheid religions.

america is founded on separation of church and state as a secular gov't.

Which means politicians have no right to tax churches

again ...

in the eyes of the secular gov't churches are no different than the ford corporation, the transaction is only monetary no other consideration is made.

While I disagree with the current interpretation of the Johnson amendment, we are at an impasse.

You believe I am wrong, I know that you are wrong.

Thankfully, the way out of this for churches is to just refuse to incorporate, and then they can do whatever the hell they want politically, and the government can't touch them.

If you had actually read and understood the information I gave you, you would know how absolutely ignorant you are making yourself here.

in particular seeing the forgeries lies and fallacies written in all three desert bibles i do not read them - the u s constitution speaks for itself, rightwing pandering's are nothing more than nauseating waste of time.

the johnson amendment in of itself is appropriate legislation and reasonably enacted.
