She rescued baby birds and one of them was a late season Robin fledging named Junior who became a local celebrity. The wildlife bureaucrats insisted that the bird must be released, however it was late in the year, too late for Junior to join the migration. He would have died. My grandmother got the newspaper involved and insisted that the wildlife peop,e would have to execute the bird because effectively they were consigning him to death. They backed off and Junior lived a long and happy life.

However none of that (nor the squirrel) has anything to do with spreading false stories about Haitians.
