Very interesting. Turkey´s newly developed laser gun ARMOL has penetrated steel sheet, destroyed explosives and even downed a drone in trials, according to Turkey´s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank.

Turkey will showcase its new laser system Gökberk in the coming week on the 16th International Defence Industry Fair together with the AA-System Göksur. Both systems were developed by the Turkish company Aselsan and will be very powerful according to the company. In the future an improved version of the laser that currently has at least 5 kilowatts of power will be integrated into the conventional AA-Systems.
