Are you better off today than you were August 2024? Nope. And get ready because prices are about to go up 10% or more on virtually everything.

You're the loser
Actually, I'm better off now. I know that doesn't fit your narrative, but I rarely do. It's very nice ignoring the narratives that others create and attempt to fit me into. I am quite used to prices going up, they've been doing so ever since Quid Pro Joe stumbled into office.

Kamala kicked Trump's ass and you still voted for Trump. And regardless of that. Trump is doing a horrible job and yet you continue to lie and say prices are coming down, the jobs numbers are good, wages are up. None of that is true. But that's your reality. It's weird.

You can't increase the price on everything we buy and tell us prices are coming down. You'll have to come up with some kind of justification for the price increase. Say you are going to pay off the debt. Lie. Say you are going to put the money towards social security. Lie.

But it's just not possible to say prices aren't going to go up when we see very clearly that prices have across the board gone up a minimum of 10%. Have you not seen the price increases yet? Pay attention. If your piggly wiggly stocked up a couple months ago they may not have hit you with the increase yet. It's coming. And remember, this is for that $200 million dollar ballroom trump says he's going to pay for. Do you believe that? I don't. He's trying so hard to change the subject from Epstein and his approval numbers.

Donald Trump's Approval Rating Falling 'Most Substantially' With Men

dropped from 48 percent in April to 39 percent in July

70% say he has not handled Epstein situation well and 81% blame him for hiding info on the case
Here’s what you need to know:

  • Grocery prices saw their largest decline in nearly five years.
  • Gas prices fell for the third month in a row.
  • Egg prices saw the largest one-month decline in more than four decades.
  • Workers’ real wages are up 1.9%, increasing each of the last three months.
  • Prices for airfare, energy, hotels, and used vehicles are all down compared to last year.
Here’s what they’re saying:

  • Bloomberg’s Augusta Saraiva: “US inflation rose by less than forecast in April amid tame prices for clothing and new cars, suggesting little urgency so far by companies to pass along the cost of higher tariffs to consumers.”
  • Investopedia Editor-in-Chief Caleb Silver: “The smoke was much worse than the fire … A big part of that was the drop in gasoline prices. This is very significant for households … That drop in gasoline and energy prices — a big deal.”
  • Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo: “Oil is down, eggs are down, food is down. We’re seeing that reflected, so all that hysteria over tariffs is not showing up in these numbers.”
  • USA TODAY: Inflation eased to 4-year low in April as Trump’s tariffs took effect, CPI report shows
    • “Prices for groceries, including eggs, used cars and airfares all fell sharply.”
  • Bloomberg: US Consumer Prices Rose Less Than Expected in April
    • “The pace is the slowest since the sprinsg of 2021 when inflation broke out in earnest.”
    • “Grocery prices were down 0.4% on the month, and eggs fell 12.7%, the most since 1984, validating some of President Donald Trump’s messaging.”
  • NBC News:April consumer price index report shows inflation dropped to slowest pace since 2021

It's about 3%, no reason for increased alarm.

But it is not falling. Those who say it is are lying.

And no reason to cut fed rates either right now.

A lot of people were better off after covid inflation. They got raises or found better jobs after the Great Resignation that more than made up for Covid.

Trump's tariffs just kicked in on Midnight 2 nights ago. No you are not better off now. You just don't know it yet. You'll blow it off when you realize you just paid 10% more for that snickers bar you ate.

You are used to prices going up yes. That doesn't mean you are better off just because you are used to it you dope. What you are not used to is the fact you swallowed a bunch of bullshit when you blamed Biden for it. And now you have Trump to blame but not only do you not blame him, you consider yourself better off when he smacks your fat ass.

Weird post.

Your secretary of defense in charge of defending you is accidentally texting military strike information to journalists. You are not better off.

Your elections are being rigged. That's not good for you even though you seem happy about it because it's your side doing the rigging. One day you'll realize these billionaires are ******* you and what will you do about it? Vote them out????

The person in charge of American public health is a quack. How are you better off?
Environmental regulations are being done away with. How are you better off? You think they are going to pass the savings on to you? So you will get sicker and not even save any money.

The dummy in charge of EDUCATION thinks AI is A ONE.

DOGE cut social safety nets that help poor people like you and these savings are going to billionaires. And again, they will not pass on the savings they get to you.

And if you live in Texas where it flooded, you have a secretary of Homeland Security who sat on funding and did not allow it to go to Texas during the floods for at least two days, for no good reason.

You asked if I was better off and I am. I don't depend on a politician in office to make me better off or not.

The difference is, I don't expect a politician to make me happy or not. I was happy despite Quid Pro Joe and I'm happy with TRUMP! in office.

Deflection. JX6 was terrorism, pure and simple.
Pretty much any time you try to make a political point through violence you're engaging in terrorism because you are literally trying to terrify people into doing something you want done at the threat of being harmed. That can be through riots, shooting at politicians simply engaging in sports, or following a politician's orders and surrounding members of the opposition to push them out of the public sphere.

This thread is attempting to discuss political violence and rioting in a politcial context.

Pointing out correctly that the left is far more violent than the right, is reasonable.

And 14,000 went to jail. Your point.

Social violence is not political violence in the Capitol. Those people should have been machine gunned.

so are the past and present attacks on Jewish people and law enforcement ..
I agree with you. Antisemitism efforts against Jews or Arabs are absolutely wrong.

And mass murder raids are simply inhumane and war crimes against humanity.

So are willful efforts by Hamas to disrupt food deliveries in Gaza.
