I was a student for 13 years. I think I know them. Human nature hasn't changed since I was in school, and there are more distractions.

You were a student for 13 years whereas I was a student for 23 years total. That's 12 years in high school, 6 years in the Navy and college undergrad, 2 years teacher education classes, and 3 years graduate school. I think I have you beat. Combined with 21 years teaching, learning every day, I'd say there is no comparison.
