The best analysis yet on the Iran conflict from the viewpoint of identity...

Many ARE like them, son.
You are not wrong however there is a large population of secular Iranians who despise the insane Islamic fundamentalist government that has suppressed them for so long. Iran also have some excellent schools of learning that produce very good engineers as is exhibited by their homegrown war machinery.

I have worked with a number of Iranian engineers in my career who were very impressive inasmuch as their knowledge and capabilities. Real scientific knowledge of the actual world is something that is not tied to a religious belief or a nationality and remains neutral to all of those things in the minds of those who truly practice the actual physics. That type of bond transcends the primitive segmentations of human society.

Unfortunately breaking loose from the insane regime is going to cost an awful lot in bloodshed. There may however be no alternative.

It already has. Haven't you been paying attention?

You have to forgive them they keep thinking that there's another shoe to drop that's going to end Trump's career overnight. These people go to bed every night throwing darts at a picture of trump on the wall and completely ignoring world events such as they unfold. This particular poster I believe has a small, teddy bear sized effigy of Trump that he tortures every night with knives and needles without which activity he is unable to sleep. So if you find them lacking in general knowledge current events you will now understand why.

It is until it isn't. If the powerplants get destroyed they will need to rethink their Holy war.
I don’t think it is that easy

Aside from the humanitarian aspects, I doubt it will lead to surrender

That is why Trump keeps kicking the can down the road

I thought this article laid out quite accurately exactly what the motivation is in the country of Iran itself. I don't think this viewpoint represents 100% of the country in fact I don't think it represents a majority of the country but it does represent the viewpoint of those who are making the decisions.

Oh.

Aljazera. Ok. ✅
