Now Susie Wiles is apparently running around White House meetings warning that pump prices are going to be “catastrophic” for Republicans in the midterms. Trump is calling a 50-cent-per-gallon increase in a single week a “little glitch.”
The man launched a war that’s choking 20% of the world’s oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz and somehow seems surprised that gas got expensive. Oil is really high. The people who were promised $2 gas are now paying $3.47.
So was the four-to-five week timeline always the plan, or did gas inflation just become the exit ramp? The hawks wanted this war. The base wanted cheap gas. Turns out you can’t always have both.
