The appeasement of Trump by the GOP

I think until now Republicans in Congress looked at Trump as a blank slate that would just sign whatever legislation they pushed his way, so they would tolerate his antics. There appear to be some cracks happening in that marriage of convenience, now that Trump has restated he's not interested in any changes to SS or Medicare, which is like the Holy Grail for the GOP's Cat Food Caucus. As Trump's popularity continues to dwindle those Republicans in Congress are going to be treating the President like a ham sandwich at a bar mitzvah.
In other words you believe the only hope the Democrats have of ever becoming relevant again is if the Republican Party implodes.

No, I think the GOP will tear itself apart of its own accord. Full stop.

That's not thinking, that's wishing.

Not really. It's already happening.

The republican party has excused Trump's sexual Assault on women. Then excused his lying about it when he later denied it.

The cons excused Trump's mocking of a disabled reporter, and then his denial of that too.

They have continually excused all of his lies, like Obama's birth certificate, Hillary being a criminal even though she's never been convicted of any crime, Trump's denial of Russian hacking, and his refusal to show his tax returns.

Trump is already refused to prosecute Clinton after promising to do so. And how long before he reneges on the Wall?

Will the GOP help Trump when he invades Iran? Who will get the blame, Obama?

Is Trump really going to get Trillion$ for the war machine by destroying half the government and all social programs? Will the military really work for a dollar a year?

With his promised tax cuts, how is Trump going to pay the interest on the national debt in March? Will he renege on the debt, and just write it off?

Will the republicans go along with Trump raising the spending limit in March?

Will McCain and Graham go along with Trump when he suspends Russian sanctions?

This is the same appeasement the Germans did for Hitler. Didn't turn out well, did it.

Republicans are going to give a Republican President a chance. Wow, you're onto something there, Skippy. Keep the pedal to that metal ...

Dumb ass

Um ... yeah ... that's what's happening right now. The ... GOP ... is the party tearing itself apart. You know you have the Internet, you must be able to get news too in the bunker you're hiding in

lol It's happening to the Democrats who are bitterly divided between Sanders supporters and Clinton supporters, and since the leadership of the Party includes Clinton supporters, it is not clear the Party can move forward without some very fundamental changes in leadership and philosophy.
