So who watches American Idol and/or The Voice in here?
We used to be HUGE American Idol fans, and went to several of their tour shows, but we quit watching after Simon Cowell left the show.
After several years of not watching, we decided to tune in again this year.
I am very surprised at how far the overall TALENT LEVEL has gone down. There are, at the most, THREE of this year's contestants who are worthy of a further look by the recording industry.
The ONLY "star" that I see is Caleb Johnson. If Caleb doesn't win the whole thing this year, it should be investigated by the LAPD.
Caleb has the pipes, and the presence. He has the whole package, and he SHOULD be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
I also like all three of the judges. Harry Connick, Jr. is terrific, Keith Urban is solid, and I even like J-Lo.
We also started watching The Voice this year, for the first time. WOW! What a great show that is. Totally different than American Idol, as far as format and the QUALITY of the singers.
Anybody else have some comments about either show?
