Airforce is very proud of it and want it continue... They know there strength is in there diversity. The airforce make it point they are not a 'boys club' and pick best, this allows them to pick from all there candidates rather than having the the 'face that fits'...

The Airforce before DEI was a buzzword that are better because of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion... Many companies and organisations discovered this a while back... Ask anyone who has run a large organisation and he will tell you to listen to kid who came from nothing (poverty and drug ridden areas), they are workers, they were given nothing like the silver spoon kids..
Yes there face doesn't fit and they don't come from the boys club, but the Airforce has found that that is were you find the people who graft for a living. And then when they get a leg up they turn round and give hand to the next guy climbing..

Equality is great that other shit is just giving a person an advantage based on anything other than merit.

The Tuskegee Airmen were allowed to fly the same as white men...
