The 40 gladiators for Christ.

Quite an interesting story passed down. I found it fascinating. I think one of the more compelling reasons why I believe Christ is Lord is due to the deaths the Apostles endured for it.

Saint Peter crucified upside down.
Saint Mark dragged through the streets.
Saint Bartholomew skinned alive.
Saint Paul beheaded.
Saint Mathew murdered
Saint James beheaded.
Saint Philip crucified.
Saint Andrew crucified.
Saint Thomas killed with a spear.
Saint Jude killed with an ax.


All martyred and all chose death. If they were all lying about Jesus or the resurrection they wouldn't have endured such a death and the 40 gladiators, if they didn't have a baptism of the Holy Spirit, they wouldn't have endured that on their own.
