How is a support group "indoctrination"? 12 year old kids are well aware of gender identity and sexual orientation issues. They have questions that need to be answered. They have anxieties that need to be addressed. This is that type of program that can help kids feel ok about themselves regardless of their personal issues, and respect others for who they are. This can be the difference between LGBT kids becoming self loathing and self destructive or healthy and productive adults. It can be the difference between straight kids becoming bullies and bigots or emotionally intelligent, rational and mature adults who are accepting of others who are different. It is about how they will fair in life.
