McCarran-Furguson was corrupt Democratic legislation that made health care exempt, largely, from federal regulation. Thus, each state regulated it separately. Imagine if each state had its own requirements for toothpaste or computers?

Well, thats what happened to health care. You have 3-4 brands in every state instead of 3-4 national brands emerging and surviving as the very best and cheapest in the entire country.

Americans health care the rest is done by the private market.
Its also been mention how Medicare VA etc are all more efficent
