The GOP has a golden opportunity to stop some of their political bleeding right now. Judge Merrick Garland was once highly thought of among republicans, and still is. Now, despite all logic, Mitch McConnell won't cooperate in placing this well qualified judge on the high court, and why? Because he was picked by Obama! This is stupid for 3 reasons: 1. The GOP now looks like hypocrites, 2. Hillary Clinton (who has a very good chance of winning) will elect someone even more liberal, and 3. The majority of voters want Merrick Garland on the high court. Republicans in the Senate are missing out on a way to help themselves...and they won't do it! It's no wonder Congress enjoys a 9% approval rating. :bang3:

The right plans on waiting until after the election, and then quickly approving Merrick before Hillary is sworn in, because they are afraid of who she might pick. They probably know Trump will lose, but they still hold hope that he will win and they can pick their own supreme.

LOL, the majority of voters have never heard of Merrick Garland. The conundrum for Republicans is that Democrat-appointed Justices are almost always guided by partisan political considerations rather than Constitutional authority. Why would Garland be any different?
