The price of diesel today is due to the war in Iran where Trump is ensuring they can never nuke US. IMO, it's a small price to pay and it won't be permanent. Remember, Biden wanted to get rid of all fossil fuels and prices skyrocketed for no real reason.

The critical thing is Fracking oil is not dirty crude; it is sweet crude. The new refinery in TX will consume Sweet crude.

Our refineries were designed to process dirty crude oil. But we are getting most of the oil from fracking which is clean oil. California shut down 2 refineries, so it seems Texas has to do the heavy lifting. I have to check to see if a dirty refinery can be converted to processing clean crude produced by fracking.
