Amazon already has a working fully automated Warehouse that they are just itching to get into full scale. You honestly think that their automated drone delivery is the only thing they have worked on? The Drone Delivery is actually further in the future than their totally automated distribution centers. That's going to happen long before the Trucks get automated. There goes 30,000 or more workers. And at the same time, Amazon will AI much of their Management. There goes another few thousand jobs.

In the Military, if there are too many people in a given job, they select people and give them a list of jobs that they can retrain into and then they have no choice except to leave the service. Not really a bad system. I got caught up in that once in order to finish my 20. In the "NEW" Civilian" system, they can take one of the new jobs with training or just leave the country. No free rides. Can you imagine a Banker being retrained as a Custodian? That would really make my day.
