Texas Vehicle Laws changed again?

I've heard bits and pieces, but I don't really know whats going on.

Several new driving laws in Texas went into effect on January 1, 2025, including:

• House Bill 3297: Eliminated annual safety inspections for non-commercial vehicles
  
  
• Emissions testing: Drivers in certain counties will still need to pass an emissions test to register their vehicles
  
  
• Inspection program replacement fee: Drivers will pay a $7.50 fee when registering their vehicles
  
  
• New vehicle inspection program replacement fee: Newly purchased vehicles will pay a $16.75 fee to cover two years

This can only mean MORE violent, deadly, and psychologically deranged Karens out on the roads!

WHY do they even bother with drivers licenses if it's just going to be a FREE FOR ALL!!!!

Yeah, I don't know when exactly Abbott flip-flopped, but he's a RINO for sure.
I wonder if him getting crippled had something to do with it.
