Texas Led the Country in New Renewable Energy Projects Last Year!

elektra Flash

"..And lawmakers complicated the economics for renewable energy producers, which have immensely increased in number over the past decade in Texas, offering Cheaper Electricity Than Gas- or Coal-Powered Plants Can Produce. One new policy will make connecting rural renewable projects to the grid more costly.....

An easy claim to make for a state that imports energy and produces a very tiny amount of energy.

Abuafuk's ideas are all proven false. We can simply look at how the government gives 60% of the cost to all solar and wind projects/corporations and how the corporations then give part of our money back as campaign donations.

Aba fuc can not show us anywhere in the USA where the price of electricity has gone down.

Traditional sources of electricity cost 30$ per mwh, green energy costs, $200 per mwh.

Anything different is only temporary government policy dictating the price.

The Texas GOP’s War on Renewable Energy

What’s behind the Legislature’s relentless campaign against Wind and Solar power, which are Saving Texans Billions?
June 2023 - Texas Monthly

Greg Roach doesn’t much care for the blinking red lights atop the ninety wind turbines just outside of town. They distract from the nightly blanket of stars that’s among the benefits of life in Olney, an agricultural crossroads about a two-hour drive northwest of Fort Worth. But, says the 67-year-old superintendent of the local school district, that’s a minor quibble.

Tax payments from the Trinity Hills Wind Farm have allowed Olney ISD to remodel the junior high and the high school and to build a vocational building for classes in welding and agriculture, all without raising the Tax rate. It’s been “an absolute Home Run fiscally,” Roach says.

And those Benefits have recently gotten a whole lot Bigger.
Trinity Hills enjoyed an enormous tax break when it began operating, in 2012, but that decade-long arrangement has come to an end. The wind farm now numbers among the district’s largest taxpayers. “You are looking at around one million dollars in revenue,” Roach says, for a district with a total annual budget of about $12 million. “There is absolutely no doubt they are a big boost.” He expects the extra money will help the district purchase a new school bus and upgrade classroom technology.....

Where is your commentary? According to your post you are now against Wind Power. You have pointed out how wind power bribes local towns through taxes they pay. Taxes they get the money to pay through federal subsidies.

Abu has shown how wind power is pure subsidies, rules and regulations, a product of government.

""...One recent estimate found that renewables Lowered the cost of electricity to Texans by $11 billion last year, or $423 for every customer served by the state’s predominant power grid. Over the past five years, Texas has added 2,800 jobs to support wind and solar power generation at the same time that the state has lost 44,000 oil and gas extraction jobs, in part because automation has allowed producers to drill more wells while employing fewer roughnecks.

The abundance of low-cost clean energy—a growing priority for global corporations—has also driven companies to put new facilities in Texas."...:"

That's a dumb thing to say. It's so dumb it makes me question anything they claim.

[sie=5] Or this?

"...Texas is experiencing a rise in renewable energy deployment Not necessarily due to concerns over human-caused climate change, but rather because of the Low Costs of renewable energy sources like Solar and Wind development......""

How much did texas pay for this "low cost "

How much more will Texas spend

Abu wont say because solar and wind are extremely expensive

Again you Fallacious and stupid MFer.
No one has an exact number what it will cost for everyone/every state/every co, etc.
This is so fallacious it's stupid/your game.

But a bunch of Cowboy businessmen sat down and the Real Question was/is what should be build that will produce the most KWHs/MWHs per dollar spent.
And renewable, especially Wind, has exploded.

It will probably slow down as Texas' oil lobby is pressing on the Gov and AS I SAID, passed a bill (#819) to slow down renewables/protect FFs/NG from being put out of biz by CHEAPER power.

Haha, now abu doubles down on the fact that wind and solar can not survive with any safety regluations.

Oil and gas are ruled by regulations, abu says no regulations for wind and solar

That's not an answer to my post/our excange.
You whiffed on what I said.
But it appears I at least taught you about Bill 819 that Texas passed to Protect O&G from the better and much Cheaper Renewable wind and solar.

Texas Senate Bill 819 isn't about petty protectionism of oil. It is largely about taking lessons learned and applying them such as requiring greater distance between battery back ups so that if one battery catches fire, the adjoining batteries or buildings don't follow suit. While I doubt it slows them that much, Texas as also taken steps going forward that requires battery storage be paired with new projects to make sure intermittent production doesn't overload their grid.

Bill 819, which part, quote the part you are talking about. If you try hard enough you can quote the text from the bill

Miss Elektra, still lying. Lazard's unsubsidized list shows wind and solar is far less costly than fossil fuels. No pipelines needed, no railways needed, and less costly to the taxpayers than the subsidies for fossil fuels. Texas is investing heavily on renewables because in extreme weather the fossil fuel, and even the nuclear plants, went down and people died. Except, of course, for those that ran off to Cancun.

It was wind that shut down and they couldn't ramp up the NG fueled generation fast enough to cover for it. Which is a consequence of relying on a less reliable form of electrical generation.

You filthy fuckin liar. Without a link you are a filthy ******* liar. Your rule old crock of shit

Prove Comanche Peak or the South Texas Project shut down at anytime do to weather

Its all tax subsidies and mandates a false economy
In 2022, under the Inflation Reduction Act, First Solar became the biggest beneficiary of $1 trillion in environmental spending. First Solar executives and lobbyists met at least four times in late 2022 and 2023 with administration officials who oversaw the measure’s environmental provisions. Democratic donors had invested heavily in the company prior to the act being signed into law.[23]
