2025 a major year for solar and wind

Ever heard of the Whippet auto? Many, many early auto startups failed. But we did not stop building autos.
Did the taxpayers pay for the Whippet? Private enterprise. You don't have any right to spend other people's money on your pet projects. And before your retort is another bbbbut, bbbbbut, bbbbut, what about --- if it is a wasteful gov't project, it should be cut too.

How long would it have taken to install the power they put out with gas plants? Nukes? And how much more would each of those alternatives cost? Even with battery storage, solar is now less costly per MW than gas, and far less costly than nuclear.

How long would it have taken to install the power they put out with gas plants?

Gas plants that supply reliable power 24 hours a day?

They are beginning to switch to renewables are rapidly as possible. So within the foreseeable future, they will cease to need that coal. And since Trump's EPA has removed many of the pollution laws from coal plants, we will once again see heavy metals and soot pumped into the atmosphere.
