After you watch this video, you will understand gerrymandering, who are the champion gerrymanders and where they do their dirty deeds. TX is actually a very bright red state. Democrats have gerrymandered other states and put the pressure on them to s tay Democrats.
So, learn and understand.

The funniest thing I have seen through all this is the party who claims to support democracy has left the state because they don't like what the outcome of a democratic vote would be.

What is wild it that the media actually supports the escapees. Even today, the news appears to me to be fully sympathetic with the escapees. Also, these Democrats just need to meet every two years TX does not bother with this nonsense the way other states do.

The media has been kowtowing to Texas Republicans by failing to expose the extent to which the state has already been gerrymandered, resulting in an already disproportionate Repub representation.

Party Registration Statistics
  • Total Registered Voters: 17,323,617
  • Democrats: 8,054,976 (46.50%)
  • Republicans: 6,574,201 (37.95%)

Certainly not by voter registration.

actually right now pretty in line with the vote breakdown, as opposed to most Blue States.

Cali has a 60/40 dem/rep vote mix and an 80/20 dem/rep representation mix.

In Massachusetts 35% of people vote Republican, and all the reps are Dems.

Learn basic math before opening up your stupid mouth.

The total voters in elections is what counts. Certain elections the percentages changes. Democrats are now proudly promoting themselves as Progressives. A new party so to speak that they transitioned to over decades. Or perhaps they were always that. Now they are slowly inserting Communism as planks as they transition to that. They will laugh and insult people for accusing them of it. When entrenchment comes and it will, it will not be nice.

So, you acknowledge that Texas is already over-represented by Republicans, but need to resort to childish insults when it is correctly noted.

Add everything up in the nation and Republicans would have more Representatives in the House then they do now. Plus removing the Prog cheating would even be more. The Republicans are not the polar opposite of the Progressives today. Yet are promoted as that. You guys control cities where the poverty is endless, and the residents who play the poverty game keep it that way with limits on any improvements to them.

Did you make that up, or can you cite a credible source?

Hyper-partisan pom pom flailing aside, every state is gerrymandered to some extent, some like Texas, the topic of this thread, egregiously so,

The World Population Review analysis also drew on Texas' post-2020 redistricting, which FiveThirtyEight analysts have suggested may have represented "the worst gerrymander in the country," and gerrymandering in Pennsylvania, which "dilutes the interests of major urban areas [...] by dividing them among other districts.
In 2016, gerrymandering in Ohio resulted in the party which drew the maps winning 75 percent of seats in the Ohio State Senate on just 50 to 60 percent of the votes.
The Democratic voters have historically held an edge over Republican voters, and recent data shows that this data is still holding true. The number of Democratic voters is reported to be around 49 million. The Dems also carried the lion’s share of registered voters in States that asked voters to declare affiliation, with 36 percent of voters declaring Democratic affiliation.

I am saying Texas needs to catch up to match places like Cali, NY and the small blue New England States.

Right now they are 60/40 vote and 60/40 representation. They are done being "fair" which is another word for being suckers.

Don't hate the players, hate the game.

Sounds absurd at first blush....But the Bushbot sellout "republicans", along with defacto demoncrats who run as "republican" to get elected, in the delegation are deliberately monkey-wrenching the legislative process...For example, this crap with the fleebaggers could have been headed off if your "republican" Speaker hadn't recessed the session, in order to let the (D)s pow-wow with Jeffries before taking it on the lam.

Texas had not tried to cite other states for Republican politicians' scheme to further over-represent Texas Republicans.

Yes, many states like Ohio are already skewed, but Texas cannot use that as a rationale. It already discriminates against Hispanic Americans, and their scheme is to under-represent them even more.

Texas just catching up with the Blue States.

And it looks like race based districts are going bye bye as well.

Sorry our side has decided to actually fight back now.

Too bad, so sad.
