Texas and Florida are competitive in an election

What part of US immigration policy needs reforming? I would like to know.

The path to citizenship

Yes, I think everyone agrees that needs to change for some illegals. The GOP led house passed a couple of bills that would do that. Reid did not let any of them reach the floor of the senate. Why are the dems blocking immigration reform?

Actually they didn't. The House has held Immigration reform hostage while they search for some imaginary secure border

How about the part that deports people who have lived here since they were children, have been going to American schools, consider themselves Americans and would like to be fully recognized as such...without first being deported to a country they have no allegiance to. How's that for a start?

How did they get here? Illegally? So if people break our laws it is our job to reform the law so it fits their agenda! So why have laws in the first place if your are going to reform them to accommodate lawbreakers! Shouldn't we reform our anti theft laws to accommodate thieves?

Wow Rudy has gone over the ledge.Rudy Rudy Rudy You might think Obama doesn't love us but you never never say Obama doesn't love us...not on National TV even if it is Fox

We can argue all we want about what "IS" is

The fact is that demographics are changing in two huge electoral vote states. Florida and Texas will decide any election one way or the other

The hispanic vote is key in those states and Republicans have done nothing to warrant more than the 27% of hispanics who voted for them to switch their loyalty

Hate rhetoric coming from the right, blocking immigration reform, demeaning and harassing legislation against Hispanics only make matters worse

The key is the future and what it will take to win Florida and Texas....Republicans are blowing it

nope, and a secure border is not imaginary. The Saudis have a very effective one with Iraq. We could easily seal our border with mexico------------------if we really wanted to.

But as to legislation, no immigration reform is possible until the border is secure. reform is meaningless if we continue to permit illegal entry.

wishful thinking on your part. hispanics are not as ignorant as you dems think they are. Sorry senor.

Wishful thinking? :dunno:

Demographics are what they are

Republicans can ignore them, but they will eventually catch up with you. Republicans forfeiting the Hispanic vote will cost them for a generation

Texas Hispanics are more likely to be multi-generational in the US, and more conservative than Hispanics in say California and New York, where they are often 1st or 2nd generation immigrants.

Preferences don't always translate to votes. Also you have to remember the South is full of "democrats" that haven't pulled the democrat lever in decades. Long time Hispanic residents included.

Uh huh...hopin' and wishin'...Your claim was right...Texas Hispanics are more likely to be Republican...just not that much more.

Just wait until you start suing them for not accepting gay weddings.

Why do we protect the border between north and South Korea but not our own? We need to militarize our border.

try to enter any other country in the world (including mexico) illegally and see where you end up and how long it takes you to get out of jail.

we are idiots to allow illegal entry into our country with no punishment.

I hate to point this out but Governors are going Republican How many are there now. As we say here in Bama ..a slew.we have 1

Now I'm a crack shot with a 30 ought 6 and have won a few tournaments but I would have a problem shootin one of them chilren Maybe just turn them around and march them the other way

It is freezin a cold in Bama Durn it

Illinois is as blue as they come...they now have a republican governor

So does New Jersey. California has had Republican Governors

Republicans have strong grass roots state organizations that help them in local and state level elections. It does not carry over to Presidential elections

Not to mention all the red states with Democratic governors. Hello Kentucky.
Hello Sen McConnell.
The Dems are desperate. It is a replay of Debbie Wasserman Schults declaring the 2014 election was in the bag for Democrats.

Texas today is 38.4% Hispanic and 44% non-hispanic white, a 5.6% difference

Texas QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau

As the Hispanic population increases due to higher birth rates and migration, Texas will move to being a Hispanic majority state.

Current Republican policies against immigration reform and petty legislation on show your papers and english only will ensure those voters will vote Democratic
That assumes Hispanics all vote Democrat. It isnt true. Bush carried the majority of Hispanics in both elections.

All we know is how hispanics currently vote and it is not Republican

That does not mean that they cannot change their votes in the future. But the question is....What do Republicans need to do to get Hispanics to change their vote?

My suggestion

Stop the offensive stupid shit. Calling hispanics lazy, stupid, borderline illegal. Respect them and their culture. Turn on any commentator or candidate who says offensive stuff

Bring real jobs to hispanic communities. Small business loans. Jobs training. Let Hispanics know they got their job because of Republicans

I know that Republicans are terrified of the Hispanic vote and want to prevent more hispanics from becoming citizens but blocking a path to citizenship will only turn more of the current vote against you

ALL hispanics don't have to

Only the current 73% who do

Republicans have to find a way to change that. What is your plan?

We're not Democrats. We didnt produce the worst recovery in post war history. We didnt produce the highest rate of government dependence in history. We didnt produce stagnant household incomes. We didnt produce Obamacare. We didnt cut funding for Medicaid and consign poor people to the worst doctors in the state.
That was Dems. They own it.

no one is calling hispanics lazy and stupid except the dems. the dems try to patronize them with free stuff in a failed attempt to buy their hearts and their votes. its not working.

want real jobs? get the fed govt out of small business, cut the corporate fed tax rate (currently the highest in the world).

Legal hispanics do not support blanket amnesty as proposed by obama, and shot down by a fed judge. No one is blocking a path to citizenship except the dems who refuse to secure the border.

Tell us RW, why do the dems want an open border?

Tell the truth. A politician who tells the truth rather than spouting talking points will win the votes of hispanics, and everyone else.

BTW, HRC has never told the truth about anything---------so please run her.
