I climbed on that band wagon in January and really wanted to believe in Musk. I signed up and sent a deposit to Musk for Starlink. Their response was basically, "Thanks--you'll receive your Starlink materials in mid to late 2021." I got an email a week ago saying that I MIGHT get it by mid 2022. I don't put much stock in this guy--we'll have fiber optic before he gets Starlink out and I live in one of his beta test areas.

Now dumb fuck, Tesla is hardly the only company building home batteries. And demand for a product creates a market, which creates companies seeking to profit from that demand. It is called capitalism.

Who'd a thunk someone calling themselves and American could be so stupid. Yes, Musk tends to be overly optimistic on how soon he can deliver his products. However, as we have seen with Space X and Tesla, when he does get them up and running, they beat all the competition. And having a battery backup for your home is simply good sense. Especially if you have solar, or get solar installed at the same time as the battery. Yes, you are going to have to wait for that battery. Seems the demand for EV's has exploded to the point that most battery production is already bought out months ahead.
