Now, since these statues that are being removed are on local community land, and were put up by the local communities at the beginning of the last century. Seems that in those communities that want to remove them, they have the right to remove them. In those communities that want them to stay, then they have the right to keep them. And people that want to save them should arrange for a museum to have them, or put them on private land. What is so hard about that?
By the way, I talked to my Grampa, a Dutch civilian on my Mom's side who had all his possessions stolen by the Japs in Indonesia and spent almost 4 years in a Jap prison camp who said the Japs changed their tune after the USA dropped the atomic bombs. And the Jap Imperial army flag and their regular flag are all cool. Only a mental case reacts to symbols in an emotional way. 
50 million people died in WW2. Millions of people were rounded up and murdered by the Nazis in the concentration camps. I talked to three different soldiers that liberated some of those camps. They had nothing at all good to say about the Nazis.
The Germans power was there because they were brilliant and innovative. Why the fuck would they waste time and resources "murdering" for power? That is an third world type thing. See Africa or Haiti or Israel for example.
Really? While they were fighting Russia, Britain and the USA they had the resources for that?

It wasn't so long ago that the left was insisting that there was only one side to the violence. Now after Berkeley, both sides is looking like a good default.

This wasn't what the narrative sounded like earlier this week. But now this is the narrative. All the violence is bad. Which is true. Violence at protests is bad. But it overlooks the fact that Dems were quite willing to give left-wing violence a pass before it exploded into public conciousness and before videos of it spread everywhere. Now Antifa is slowly becoming a problem instead of a solution.
