Terry Garr Has Passed Away

Jackie Gleasons daughter in The Sting 2

I had no idea. Guess I should look at Teri's filmography. Teri began life as a dancer and ballet, got several uncredited parts in Elvis Presley movies and basically more of the same for the next several years until '66-'67 when she started getting credited in TV and motion pictures.

Her father died of a heart attack when she was 11, her first speaking role was a brief appearance in the Monkees movie 'Head'. The bulk of her greatest successes were throughout the '70s and '80s. Garr was once arrested for protesting a nuclear facility. Carrie Fisher introduced her to one of her longest relationships. Garr first started noticing symptoms of multiple sclerosis in 1982 filming Tootsie. In 2006, Garr had a brain aneurysm which left her in a coma for a week. She recovered.

Here is her filmography:
The GREEN is a large part of her time as a background dancer in Elvis Presley films.
The BLUE is where she was established with actual speaking parts with screen credit.
The RED are her biggest hits she is most noted for, unfortunately, Xenforo greatly reduces the size.

She was 79. Reports say she died of multiple sclerosis.

I always liked her in her many roles especially her first TV role as Roberta Lincoln the confused secretary on Star Trek (which was actually shot as a spin-off pilot for a new show that did not sell).

RIP, Terry.

She was a well known and longtime presence in Los Angeles, and early in her career, often appeared as a go-go dancer in popular variety shows like Shindig and Hulabaloo back in the 60's.

RIP
