Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

He INCLUDES Benghazi in his reference to 9/11. No, he did not ONLY refer to 9/11/2001 when he called them acts of terror.

He directly referred to 9/11/2001 AND the Benghazi attack. Now stop making a fool of yourself.

The point should be, that many attacks were done previously in April and May.
The British and Red Cross closed their facilities down in May.
We should have done the same thing way back in May.
They would still all be alive if they had done this in the first place.
The British and Red Cross acted with leadership and competency. President Obama and Secretary Hillary Clinton did not.

That's not relevant to this specific discussion. Do you wish to acknowledge that yes the President did call it an act of terror, and yes Mitt Romney was lying in the debate, and yes Paul Ryan lied in the VP debate?

It is quite specific to this discussion......if Obama really meant to call it an act of terror then why would he and his minons refer to it as a spontaneous response to a video later on....?

When you acknowledge that Romney outright lied in the debate, then we can talk about what anyone else said or didn't say.

Funny. You post the one paragraph, then the other...carefully avoiding posting them together because there are six paragraphs between them, during which the pres attacked freedom of speech and changed the topic.

You're dismissed as a dishonest hack. When he made this speech he knew exactly what happened and he continued to mislead the public, with a tiny little disclaimer added onto the end to cover "acts of terror" JUST IN CASE everyone found out that they knew this was terrorism all along. And if they didn't, it didn't specifically call the attack an act of terror, so nobody would be the wiser because of anything he said, and maybe, just maybe, they could pawn off their own criminal negligence on freedom of speech and some random filmmaker.

Romney lied.....? are you kidding....? read the whole following article carefully....it contains the exchange between Romney and Obama as well as the Rose Garden transcript....

Well, he [Obama] did mention terror.

Too bad it was at the end of the speech AND a general reference; NOT a specific one.

“No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation.”

That’s certainly not the same thing as saying this act of terror will not shake our resolve; or even acts of terror like these will never shake our resolve.

The short of it is this. When the president gave that speech in the Rose Garden, he was being intentionally vague. The passage in question is the epitome of saying something and absolutely nothing at the same time.

Think about it this way. If facts came out that this was not an act of terrorism and the president began taking criticism for calling it one, how long do you think it would have taken the White House to put out a press release clarifying that the president was speaking in general terms rather than about the Benghazi attack specifically? And would it not be an argument the mainstream media would run with?

The fact that this administration paraded Susan Rice around on the Sunday political shows (FIVE of them) after that Rose Garden speech to disavow the terrorist language is all the evidence one needs to figure out where the president and his administration stood on that issue. As he said in reference to Hillary Clinton at the debate, “she works for me” (him); and she said it was a spontaneous response to a YouTube video, not terrorism.

a planned act of terror is different from a spontaneous reaction/protest group in response to a video.....a protest group that did NOT even happen in Benghazi....which obviously the President already knew.....can you tell me why he lied about that....????
