Teen athlete says she was sexually violated by trans wrestler – and the school district did nothing

Through the cloth of the outfit. This hadn't occurred to you?

Cloth material is flexible, that's why we wear cloth and not steel clothing.
The bottom line remains that a teenaged girl had her genitals groped by a teenaged boy to the approval of the adults in attendance. No wonder she was traumatized.

There is a ref a few feet away looking for illegal holds or a pin
I doubt “penetration” could occur

I guess you didn't watch the video in the OP, cause that's not the same match. And from what I hear, the he/she didn't bother moving her shorts, but pressed THRU them.

Here's a pic of the actual match and you can see the ref is several feet away and the wrestlers are at an odd angle from the crowd and onlookers so nobody could actually SEE anything.......except maybe the girls shocked face.

Doubtful full penetration occurred and it wouldn't need to be to be an assault, but in those tight shorts any 'extra grappling' would be noticed by both the victim and the grappler. And yes it is possible to still be violated with the shorts on

The girl did found out after the match the guy was trans but I'm not sure it was reported to the coach that way. My guess is that when the coach reported it to the school and they learned from him or learned later on investigation that the guy was trans, the school panicked and said and did nothing in hopes it would go away. All that did was bite them in the ass.
I have to ask why the school was responsible after the fact.

Because the school didn't respond to the initial complaint. The girl (victim) had told the coach within a few days and the coach said they'd look into it and later reported to the school or district(?) that didn't follow up on it......then later said they weren't informed until 01/30. The incident happened in early December

It obviously was not that traumatic then if it took her a few days. What would you have the school do without any proof?

Well, if you sign up for a sport where grabbing each other is kind of the point, you shouldn't get worked up if that happens by accident.

As opposed to a man bragging he can do it because he's a celebrity.
What the problem is, you're a legend Lefty and so you're not consistent in thought. So because you run on agenda instead, that's why you're all over the place, it makes you predictable.

Yes. But for some reason that escapes me, these people have forgotten the basic laws of physics, among other things. Unfortunately, just saying "..a teenaged girl had her genitals groped by a teenaged boy..." is not even making a dent.

It would be one thing if they were simply asking or waiting for more evidence or the conclusions of an investigation (we don't have conclusive proof it happened). But they've gone even farther and accused the girl of being a liar and transphobic without waiting for evidence of that.

The school was responsible for, at the very least, reporting it to the county sheriff. By law a school is required to report a sexual assault claim to the sheriff within fort eight hours. It wasn't reported to them for two months. And apparently, they only reported it to the sheriff because the media contacted them the day before for comment on the case.

Beyond that, whether by law or school policy or whatever, I would think the school would be expected to address a student's concerns, especially a sexual assault claim. They reported it to the coach and he told them he would get back with them later that day or the next morning after reviewing the video and any other videos they might find. The girl and her mother never heard from him or the school after that.

Or perhaps because of her trauma it took a few days to report it. Sometimes victims are too embarrassed, IDK why she didn't jump right up and scream it from the rafters

As for proof........that is a tough one to prove especially in a full contact sport like a wrestling match.

So, what is your solution?
