This ref either didn't see it, or it didn't happen.

You only offer two possibilities out of a potential of at least three. The third possibility is that it did happen and the ref didn't see it. This sort of thing happens in sports and you know it.

Add to that she later reported she was grabbed by the genitals. Taken together, I'm betting a grabbing of the genitals is what caused her distress.

But the real target of criticism here is not the trans teen who did the grabbing of genitals but the school for the way they handled it.

I have allowed for the possibility that the grabbing of genitals was accidental but even if it was, it still does not absolve the school of their responsibility to address a student's concerns.

Do you understand wrestling even a little? A “crotch ride” is HOW you turn your opponent onto their back (which is the goal). I looked at the video and that was what wa happening. One wrestler was leveraging a crotch ride to turn the opponent

1.) I did a quick web search and I find nothing about a "crotch ride" in relation to wrestling. I found videos on what was called a "crotch lift" and a "high crotch". I'm assuming you're talking about the same thing. That being the case,..

2.) This move, whether you call it "Crotch Lift", "High Crotch" or "Crotch Ride" involves linking both hands between your opponent's legs and lifting him up by the upper, inner thigh with the forearms, not the crotch.

3.) It's called "Crotch Lift" because of the general area of the placement of hands and arms. To attempt to lift your opponent by placing your forearms directly against the crotch or genital area would be to attempt to lift the entire body. I'm guessing that's another prohibited move but even if it's not it would be more work than needed.

4.) Her opponent's hands and body were not oriented in a position to effect a crotch lift. The right arm was hooked around her right arm and the left arm went between her legs.

To sum up, either you don't know any more about wrestling than I do or you're gaslighting. Not to mention the fact that you allege the girl was just pissed because she lost which means you're calling her a liar. A questioning of her character that you are not qualified to make based on what we know so far. No one is.
