Lots of chatter about "ICE raids" in schools. Apparently people think ICE will cuff a 6 yo and drag them away; that won't happen, and if it does, I'm opposed. ICE might wait at the school or bus stop for the parents, though.

Meanwhile, school officials think schools are islands of lawlessness where they have the right to stop the govt from doing its job.

While I have compassion for individual children of illegals, common sense dictates that these students often take MORE resources than American children. Their parents committed a crime coming here illegally. If a student is deported with their parents, that will be individually unfortunate but, in the end, just.

Despite the sensationalist article what it really means is transport hubs like bus and train stations.

They are "honey holes" where many illegals are snagged but the transport hubs were removed from places where ICE and the BP could snag them.

No agent is bothered about "trolling for illegals" around schools and churches unless there is added criminal activity involved. Those places always required special orders.
