Teachable Moment Indeed

Oh, I know you're shitty. Pretty much everyone does.
That’s just more backwards libtardian Twilight Zone shit…I’m a highly productive, law abiding, tax contributing citizen who loves real America, one who practices and lives out all things REAL America….But of course, to an unconventional globalist lib I’m definitely a shitty American…hahaha

For years, decades really, I've been arguing with liberals who seemingly want every important social function regulated, controlled or outright owned by the government. In general my objections are dismissed as reactionary complaints from a "stingy conservative" - but that's not it. Never was.

My comments, always ignored, centered on the folly of putting these services at the mercy of an election. If the government controls education, healthcare, welfare, etc ... then education, healthcare, welfare, etc .. are subject to the political winds. They are at risk every time a new administration takes over. We're seeing it unfold now.

Maybe liberals will learn something from all this.

Sometimes freedom is more important than "free".
To reinforce your point, Social Security was an act of Congress signed into law by FDR in 1935.

An act of Congress and a signature of any President in office can end Social Security immediately. No funds anybody has paid in would have to be refunded. No benefits expected by anybody would be paid.

Meanwhile Congress, aided and abetted by whatever President is in office, spends every penny paid into Social Security leaving only IOUs behind. Technically Congress must repay with interest whatever it borrows from Social Security but for all practical purposes that is just a matter of shuffling the numbers in the computer as the national debt grows by trillions of dollars.

Those suggesting that Social Security should be carefully and responsibly privatized know this.

Lying cockroach.
What’s sad is..you sick globalist statist fucks honestly believe we became exceptional because Father Government…you can’t admit that we became an exceptional nation because The People…because we weren’t the same people who comprise Mexico and raghead nations…Because we were comprised of those living out western culture….You bastards fucked us good.

dblack

Guess it depends on how you're defining American exceptionalism. One might argue that a dedication to the principles of free trade and limited government is exactly the kind of thing that makes America exceptional.
What makes America exceptional is taking what the world has to offer and improving it, not locking the doors and guarding the walls.

You seem to have missed the point. I'm not talking about corruption. I'm talking about the "mandates" of democratic rule. If the government controls healthcare, for example, and the majority decides that we should change the way we do healthcare - you're along for the ride. Like it or not.
REAL ID has entered the chat.

Diversity and globalism are the future. MAGA is an old, dying philosophy.
