Tariffs going up

You're right!!, My son recently bought a 2025 Nissan "Navara" same as the 'Frontier' crew cab with a diesel engine for less than $20,000 in the Caymans.
The question is why are the options and prices of vehicles so much higher in the U.S.?
The U.S. has to reduce vehicle regulations that require parts additives that kill fuel consumption and so called green requirements.

Delete the pollution controls, remove the dashboard padding, the airbags, the stronger bumpers, the high mounted taillight, the seatbelts, the radial tires, the antilock brakes, and you’ll have “perfection”.

/—-/ Except it won’t pass annual inspection. Plus the manufacturers are adding features to alert them when you make any modifications. Tesla does it and so does Ferrari.
