Obviously diplomacy is not better than war in this case. Iran had/has enough 60% enriched uranium to make 9 nukes. Diplomacy clearly wasn’t working. They were going to create the nukes as their ICBM program was growing and then bow out of the agreement and threaten anyone who chose to oppose them with nukes. In no way were we going to be better off. That is a just a naive pipe dream.

Let’s wait to see how this conflict ends, but there is no doubting that Iran’s military has taken a major set back. They should just be happy that we aren’t like them, if so, their entire country would be totally obliterated by now.
