Tariff ruling.

A rare win for the good guys.

The Supreme Court may be forcing Congress to do what Congress doesn’t want to do...actually forcing them to play a role in governing the nation!

Now....lets have bills, a debate, votes and a bill signed into law. So importers know what they are going to have to spend in tariffs when they order from foreign manufacturers.

You know...the way it’s supposed to work.

Yeah. **** you.

Everyone else can impose tariffs on us but we can't reciprocate.

The reason for this crazy belief is because most of congress is robbing us blind and is being blackmailed by leftists who hate America.

We can impose tariff's. No idea where you got the idea we can't.

Clearly you don't know who the good guys are......seeing as how you think Canada has their shit together.

With you what is right is wrong....and what is wrong is right.

They think that imposing massive tariffs overnight, randomly increasing them when someone hurts Trump's feelings, all while insulting, trolling, namecalling, threatening and intimidating our former friends, and making long term planning pretty much impossible for American businesses, is brilliant.

Because they are Trumpsters.

Because tariffs have been inflationary. Also, the less control Dotard has over the economy the better off we are.
Well, the larger problem is this. If, on Monday, you order a container of 500 widgets from Lower AssCrackistan and you thnk you’re paying $1 a widget, your price is $500. Then on Wednesday, the blob drops a 100% tariff on imports from Lower AssCrackistan, when the container arrives on Friday, you’re now paying $1,000. Taxes in the forms of tariffs are charged when the stuff arrives.

That is what needs remedying. With proper order restored, that should not be the case any longer.

Yup, I just heard that Trump's tariffs are struck down.

It is now official. Now we wait and see if Trump respects the American constitutional process, or if he decides he is the new Caesar.

Supreme Court strikes down Trump's sweeping tariffs

Lower courts ruled against the Trump administration, with both sides asking the Supreme Court to issue a definitive ruling.

The funny thing about it is he usually doesn't have to impose anything because just the threat of tariffs is enough to force our trade partners to stop screwing us. This is why you folks love bringing up Tacos.....because Trump rarely keeps them in place. You think you can be on both sides of every issue.

But you leftists love pulling shit like this, choosing to spite your own face just to prove some sick point.

BTW, any funds that were collected will not be refunded......and all Trump has to do is sight another law and the cycle repeats itself.

Optimizing trade agreements is a great idea. Always.

And all of this, ALL of it, could have been done professionally, intelligently, constructively, respectfully and effectively behind closed doors.

ALL OF IT.

But no, these people have no idea whatsoever how to do that. They are modern-day Neanderthals.

Just another embarrassment.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s far-reaching global tariffs on Friday, handing him a significant loss on an issue crucial to his economic agenda.

The 6-3 decision centers on tariffs imposed under an emergency powers law, including the sweeping “reciprocal” tariffs he levied on nearly every other country.

It’s the first major piece of Trump’s broad agenda to come squarely before the nation’s highest court, which he helped shape with the appointments of three conservative jurists in his first term. Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.

This puts some serious hurt on to trump. He was his tariffs to exact revenge on countries like Canada. He was violating the Constitution.

Article I Section VIII Clause I.

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.

Congress NOT the White House controls the purse.

The next time a Democrat is in the White House you be happy the president can't unilaterally impose tariffs.

The reason for this crazy belief is because most of congress is robbing us blind and is being blackmailed by leftists who hate America.
A tariff is a tax. Congress has the power to tax. The president does not.

This was not a close decision.
