You are talking about people many of whom hate the Jews though. They are good with teaching their children to kill jews. They were probably taught that themselves. The citizens of Gaza City were cheering and celebrating when the bodies of dead and injured Israelis and probably some Americans were being paraded through the streets. And many of those have been taught the nobility of martyrdom.

(As an aside, I can't imagine Israeli citizens cheering and celebrating or even tolerating their military parading Palestinian dead through the streets of Tel-a-viv.)

And if you are among those still capable of critical thinking and wanting to protect your family, you probably would take your chances with the Israelis who do their best to hit military targets only rather than have Hamas machine gun you, your wife, your children trying to flee the area. And remember, just as Democrats are being told by the media and talking heads on television that all the problems are caused by the GOP and/or Trump, the Palestinians are told that all their problems are caused by Israel. Those who control the message control the people.

I hear what you are saying. Certainly millions can overwhelm a few thousand. But that assumes those who will surely die in the process have the courage and will to do so.

Yes they have launched rockets into Israel, they should target the rocket launching areas, from whence the rockets came, not the civilian population. So long as Israel is going after military targets and capability, given that Hamas deliberately endangers, condemns to death, large numbers of the Palestinian people in order to generate sympathy and tolerance for themselves, the good people of the world should be good with the necessity of Israel to do that.

The only alternative is for Israel to tolerate the murder of thousands more of its own citizens. In the initial attack on October 6, Hamas fired 5000 rockets into Israeli civilian neighborhoods. Their purpose was to kill as many Jews as they could and they did kill well over 1000 people. They didn't even try to hit military targets. They have fired many thousands more rockets into Israel since October 6.

And Iran and probably Qatar, Turkey et al are funneling as many more weapons and ammo to Hamas as they can find ways to get those into Gaza.

The purpose of this is to invite retaliation by Israel and therefore get the world to rise up and condemn Israel. And sadly among the bleeding heart left--make that the gullible and antisemites of the world--they are winning the propaganda war.

I have been watching this Israeli Palestinian issue now for many years. The thing that keeps coming up in my mind is, how long will the government of Israel continue to claim self defense, by using Tanks and droping bombs on a civilian population in the Gaza strip and West Bank? This looks like a complete slaughter of innocent civilians on the television news every night?. I know many say that Israel has a right to defend themselves. But I do not see the Palestinians with Tanks, or with any aircraft.? Do the Israelis know how this all looks to the rest of the world.?!

So would it be alright for Israel to defend itself if Gaza had a tank? Hamas just killed hundreds of innocent civilians. And proudly boast that if they aren't removed, they plan on doing it over and over and over.

According to Snopes it was 44%, a strong plurality and enough to give Hamas enough seats in Parliament to establish a dictatorship.

But just like the leftists in this country, Hamas had advertised itself as a charitable organization who intended to greatly improve the lives of the Palestinian citizens. But once in office, the purpose was for their own self interests and the quality of life of the citizens be damned. In Hamas' case, their intent was to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.

Their militancy forced Israel and also Egypt to blockade the Palestinians. Even now Egypt refuses to accept Palestinian refugees and of course Israel cannot do so without running the risk of terrorists and saboteurs coming in with them.

And in defense of the Palestinians who should flee the country, with neither Egypt or Israel allowing them into their countries, the only escape route they have is by sea.
