I think the Taliban is not going to play the hostage game at least not immediately. Right now the US and the Tailban have a common goal of getting the Americans out. For the sake of legitimacy and enough breathing space to form a functioning government they are not going to give us a reason to stay. Of course things could fuck up and the shooting could start any minute. If they can control their forces enough to let all the Americans out they will be able to make the case that they are the legitimate government of Afghanistan.
