Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters on Tuesday they are keeping their August 31 deadline. Majahid also announced the Taliban will no longer allow Afghans to leave the country.
Joe Biden left the Taliban army with weapons, missiles, aircraft, uniform, cash and even energy drinks and now the army he created is barking the orders at the Biden regime.
What a historic failure in epic proportions- a very dangerous and humiliating episode in US history.
The Daily Caller reported:

The Taliban is remaining steadfast on the Aug. 31 withdrawal and announced they will not allow Afghans to leave the country during a Tuesday press conference.​

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid spoke to reporters Tuesday about the U.S. withdrawal deadline of Aug. 31. Despite the evacuation process ramping up, many more people still need to be evacuated, and President Joe Biden has said he’s contemplating on extending the deadline. The Taliban, however, has vowed not to let that happen.​

“This was already not according to the agreement,” Mujahid said Tuesday regarding the latest deadline. “They have opportunity, they [US] have all the resources, they can take all the people that belong to them.”​

The spokesman also said the Taliban will no longer allow Afghans to leave. The U.S. has so far evacuated thousands of Afghans, with a particular focus on the special immigrant visa applicants.​

“We are not going to allow Afghans to leave and we will not extend the deadline. We will be deciding about this there and then,” Mujahid said.​

Yeah but Joey Xi Bai Dung and the media will now say we are done with the operation. He doesn't care about the Americans stuck there. He will say they want to be there, and they can just buy a ticket if they want to leave.
The scale of the problem rests with the hasty withdrawal by Bai Dung with no plan.
Bai Dung and his Merry PMS/DSA Democrat Commies have unconditionally surrendered and the 7th Century Taliban are dictating the terms to an incompetent spineless person.

I'm a little surprised that they aren't going to allow any more Afghans out ---- it's easier to let dissidents flee than to destroy them. That's what Hitler did for years with the Jews --- kept making it easy to leave and awful to stay. It's a lot cheaper and easier if they go on their own! I expect the Taliban just haven't thought of that, or want to do a lot of killings.

Drove them out by the hundred thousand; you can't have missed that, if you know anything at all about the Third Reich and WWII. It's how we got so many Jews in the U.S. from then, also how Israel became a state as many fled from Germany to Israel despite British opposition.

It is cheaper and easier to drive out dissidents or people viewed as problems than to kill them, so this is not a good development. I expect massacres and a lot of "disappeareds."

Given Gen Donohues orders and the US purposely leaving americans and allies behind..sounds like biden promised the taliban that he would leave them hostages to do with as they wish.

The state of Israel was born out of the aftermath of WWII. The hundreds of thousands of displaced persons (DP's) that survived the death camps did not solely consist of Jews, actually they were also a minority in the camps too... Yes Jews were unwanted in Europe still after the war.
