Ask the women over there what the Taliban's intentions are?
Obviously, you believe anything that's fed to you. You've been indoctrinated well.
The majority of the people in that country are supportive of the Taliban.
The Taliban are showing indications that they are modifying their approach to women. They won't be treating women as equals but neither do some of America's allied countries. And religious preferences are obviously not a reason to shoot and bomb that country's people and governing body.

It's really starting to look like the Taliban intend on governing responsibly and that will encourage other peaceful nations to cooperate and work peacefully with them.

There's no other choice now that the puppet government that America half-heartedly tried to set up has been defeated and banished.

This is a thread that's intended to explore the possibilities of Afghanistan finally finding a peaceful way forward. Sharia law may have to be a part of it, but that is of no real interest to America or any other country that's trying to disrupt. China and Russia know and understand that now. Hopefully the US will just accept it's defeat and aid in that country's progressing to normality within the bounds of their preferred style of Islam.

Human rights will be on top of the Taliban's list, along with young girls for wives of their terrorist personnel
Give me a break with your pie in the sky dreams for the Taliban/s and your USA hating rhetoric.

Meister, that which isn't funny is America trying to impress it's political and religious ideals on Afghanistan with bullets and bombs.
Save the women and little girls by not bombing them to death!
Americans need to be able to move on from the sour grapes of defeat.

That does explain a lot, thanks, PC

The people of that country and the Taliban will choose their own interpretation of human rights.
What gives Americans the right to interfere when half of their own country is trying to strip women of their right to choose?

In any case, none of which can be answered with America's traditional approach of bombing and killing a country's people to force them to adopt American values.

It's a poor choice for a 12 year old girl to be married instead of dead, but it's still the best choice. Americans no longer have the credentials to pretend that they actually care.

We don't believe that's the reason why the British, the Soviets, or the Americans attempted to win control of Afghanistan.

Let's move on to the appropriate discussion on the Taliban's chances.

We left the Taliban with enough weaponry to be a formidable force for their chances.
Yeah, human rights would not be even close to the top of your priorities, Donald.
Glad you love you some Taliban, dude.

Canada's values have made us the #1 country in the world on quality of life. And America's lack of real values that matter has made it far down the list at #15. Just a reminder my friend.

You'll find my replies to you much more agrreable to your agenda if you stay on topic!

The large amount of weaponry the US left is suspicious of being an offer of aid for them to fight and gain complete control of their country.

Was it intended as a leg up to the Taliban so that the US could upstage China's huge efforts that are coming fast?

Trump ran on the premise of ending the forever war and delivered. It is about time we leave the Afgan s to deal with their own affairs. We got our own problems here. Better to spend trillions of dollars here than there.

Whatever gets you to sleep at night Donald. The weaponry should have been extracted or destroyed...period.
Not a gesture toward the Taliban. Stop with your conspiracy theory.

Canada sees a difference between 'hate' speech and 'free' speech.

And in truth on a wider scale, Canadians aren't totally immersed in political hating at the domestic politics level. Neither do we have the systemic racism problem.

Personally, I don't feel less free if I'm forbidden from expressing hate toward LGBTQ's.
Neither do many Americans!

That's the attitude that needs to be adopted now! If Trump can be credited with it then kudos for him. Biden is also expressing the same attitude.

The big question is, are they both just blowing smoke and having no such intentions?

Now your on to LGBTQ, and race? :rolleyes-41:
Have a good day Donald, it didn't take long for you to take your thread down a rabbit trail.

Chew on this

As has been expected for weeks of the victorious army. America can negotiate a solution but from the position of the defeated.
Does anyone know the full story on what the Taliban are demanding?

It's worth knowing if America doesn't intend on starting a new war?

The question will be worth following if it's more than just Fox News attempting to do some dirt on Biden's success?

It's the one thing Trump, Biden and I agree on. Trump had the balls to do it. Biden had the balls not to reverse it now the electorate needs to find the balls to accept the good and the bad of it. Hate to see Afghanistan fall apart but twenty years and trillions if dollars is enough.
